Frequently Asked Questions
Just like James Bond martinis, Lucille’s should be shaken, never stirred. Shaking releases the complex flavors of Lucille’s Bloody Mary Mix. Always shake Lucille’s!
To make the perfect Bloody Mary start with 2 ounces of water in a shaker, add ½ tablespoon of Lucille’s. Mix and shake well. Then add 5 to 6 ounces of tomato juice and shake more. Pour over ice, add garnish and voilá! To highlight different flavors, add the water and tomato juice and shake together before adding Lucille’s.
One final way to prepare Lucille’s is to mix directly with 7 to 8 ounces of tomato juice, but we highly recommend shaking Lucille’s. There are varying opinions as to what makes the best Bloody Mary. Some like more Worcestershire sauce, some less. Many prefer V8 or Clamato over tomato juice. There are also those who love horseradish. Have fun with it!
There is no one answer for this question. Experiment and test what you like, adding the vodka first, or last, whichever tickles your fancy. You can even make Lucille’s without any vodka at all.
Great! Lucille’s spices and herbs will actually continue to meld and get better when left to sit (when not mixed with vodka).
No problem! Have you ever had a “Tomato” or “Red Beer”? Try to use Lucille’s in those recipes. Another idea is to try a Brave Bull. Make a Brave Bull by adding a bit of beef bullion and mix with tequila and Lucille’s. Be creative. Lucille’s is versatile and can be used to spice up any drink.
